Jazz Legacy Band

Saturday, March 30
7:30 PM
Concert Hall, Music Building

Nothing conjures up the vision of 1920s America more than the swinging music of the Southern-styled Jazz Legacy Band. The band specializes in playing authentic renditions from the pre-bebop genres of jazz—music that was first created by masters like Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Joe “King” Oliver, Sidney Bechet, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Django Reinhardt, Lu Watters, Jack Teagarden, and the like. From the moment the band starts playing, you can expect to be tapping your toes and dancing in your seats.
